Coming to macOS

Have a conversation with transcribed audio or a text.
Without leaving your Mac.

Import a recording: it is transcribed and the voices are separated. Import a text: it is used as is. Either way, a language model running on your Mac answers your questions about the content.

A transcript, a text, a conversation that never leave your Mac

The quality of an online service, without the online service.

Nothing is uploaded

Your file never leaves your Mac. Nothing is copied to a server, nothing is kept anywhere but your own folder — which makes the tool usable for confidential recordings.

Who spoke, and when

Speaker separation automatically tells the voices apart and attributes each passage to one of them. The transcript reads like a dialogue, not like a block of text.

Have a conversation with the text

The transcript you get — or a text file you import — opens in a conversation window: you ask your questions, and a language model running on your Mac answers from the content. Here too, nothing leaves the device.

How it works

Three steps, that is all.

1

Drop in a file

Drag a recording into the window: MP3 and M4A are read directly, other common audio formats are converted on import. Already have a text? Import it (.txt, .md) and go straight to the conversation.

2

Transcribe on device

The model runs on your Mac, in close to a hundred languages, and separates the voices along the way. No connection is used during processing.

3

Review, copy, ask

Review the transcript, copy it wherever you need it, or open the conversation to question its content: summarize a passage, find what was said, have a point clarified.

Frequently asked questions

About Julrik AI - Conversation specifically.

Is there a free trial?

Yes: 7 days with access to every feature, no account and no credit card. When the trial ends, importing, transcribing and the conversation stop working until you buy the app — nothing is deleted from your disk, your files stay where you left them.

Which files can I import?

Audio files, or a text file. MP3 and M4A are read directly; other common audio formats are converted automatically on import. A plain text file (.txt, .md) is imported as is, with no transcription, when all you want is to have a conversation with text you already have. Video, PDFs and word-processor documents are not supported.

What does it mean to have a conversation with the content?

The transcript — or the imported text — opens in a window where you ask your questions: summarize a passage, find what was said about a topic, have a point clarified. A language model running on your Mac answers, from the text shown beside it. No request goes to a server.

Which languages can it transcribe?

The interface is available in English and French. Transcription supports every language of the Whisper large-v3 turbo model running on your device — close to a hundred, including English and French.

What is speaker separation?

The app automatically tells the different voices in a recording apart and attributes each passage to one of them, which makes the transcript far easier to read.

How do I get a refund?

Purchases are handled by Apple. Refunds are requested directly from Apple, through the Mac App Store process.
